ABSTRACT
Twenty species of blastoids belonging to twelve genera have been identified from the Lower Carboniferous (Dinantian) strata of Ireland and Great Britain. One genus and three species are new. Fragmentary material may represent an additional three genera. Most of the genera are monospecific and many are either rare or geographically restricted. Most have short geological ranges and are contained within one or two of the Dinantian stages.
