ABSTRACT
Intraplate earthquakes are very hazardous disaster for human’s society. The features of earthquake-generating process are discussed in this paper by using a dynamic nonlinear model with Chinese Continental area as an example. The theoretical computation result of the model shows similarity to the real seismicity in Mainland China. The earthquakes in the model occur periodically. The shocks in the system break out in seismic belts. In different active period the main active belts are different. Although the variation and stress images of the system are very complicated, there are some omen observed in the stress filed for the next abruption of the system to happen.
