ABSTRACT
My participation in the Womanifesto International Residency in 2008 was the first time I created studio work in Thailand during the fourteen years since I had left the country. It was an intense six-week exchange program with Thai and international women artists that included workshops with local artisans, craftspersons, and school students. Some of the work produced there was included in the 2010 Ephemeral but Eternal Words: Traces of Asia exhibition, to which I return later.
