ABSTRACT

An ethical approach to working with uncertainty is at the core of our agenda, and we propose the needs to be central to our future engagements with uncertainty. Ethics was a constant accompaniment of our workshops and over the course of the chapters, ethical considerations surfaced under various guises. Disruptions towards uncertainty, as we have shown, offer new ways to initiate and catalyse generative processes in groups, collectives, organizations, research projects and interdisciplinary investigations. Our workshop-based explorations of uncertainty are propositions for its role in research and creative practice. A technology of uncertainty is not simply a method, a critical arm or a solution, based on our observations. The Essaying the FabPod workshop formed part of a larger programme of research called FabPod Futures.
