An obituary The obesity epidemic was born some time around the year 2000 and died about ten years later. Many tried to revive it and convince themselves that the situation was not terminal, but by the end of the first decade of the twenty-first century there was nothing that could be done. This book is, in part, a small contribution to the history of the obesity epidemic’s short but spectacular life.
