ABSTRACT

Introduction This chapter will examine the physical education experiences of an adolescent with a special educational need (SEN).1 There are three foci to the chapter: (1) to present the physical education experiences of an adolescent with SEN participating in mainstream physical education; (2) to consider the methodological challenges of conducting ethnographic research in presenting the voices of young people with SEN within a physical education setting; and (3) to provide recommendations for future research practice in examining the experiences and voices of young people with SEN.
