ABSTRACT
Global warming is a term used to describe a persistent increase in the earth’s mean surface temperature relative to long-term average conditions (those that prevail over centuries). Global warming results in climate change and the two terms are sometimes used interchangeably, though climate change has a broader meaning and refers to changes in average climatic conditions (temperature, wind, rainfall, and other climatic variables) relative to their long-term average.
