ABSTRACT
The LARES project involved surveys carried out in eight cities in eight European countries (see Figure 2.1). While the survey was intended to be identical in terms of the process and the information collected, the cities themselves are very different. The following descriptions and information are given to provide some background to the findings from the project.1
