ABSTRACT
Jack Vromen advances an interesting critique of the way I make use of ontology to criticise aspects of mainstream (and other) practices. He holds, in particular, that my portrayal of the mainstream is inaccurate and my use of ontology unjustified. His critique takes the form of a set of interrelated steps. Let me consider each of these in their turn.
