ABSTRACT

This chapter does not stop at arguing in favour of design evaluation but also provides some ideas about the way a design evaluation of gender equality policies can be performed. As an offshoot of empirical and comparative research at the European level, this chapter explores the possibilities of critical frame analysis as an important part of design policy evaluation, as well as its use as a tool for including discursive processes as a key dimension in the evaluation of gender policies and, especially, gender mainstreaming.
