ABSTRACT
This chapter documents the process of the University of Derby’s BA (Honours) Early Childhood Studies team in beginning to consider how we promote the values and practice of relational pedagogy with our students in their practice settings. Many of our learners are (and will be) in positions which enable them to influence what has emerged in our team as something we refer to as the ‘quality encounter’.
