ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on urban water. Specifically, it considers available technological options and innovations capable of improving the sustainability of urban water services. It addresses decentralized development options, at scales from single household through to subdivision scale, designed to source and treat water near the point of use. The challenges of selecting the ‘right’ option for a particular site and successfully integrating these sustainably are considered.
