ABSTRACT

Considering causes of obesity in humans there is no clear explanation of the civilization phenomenon. Research designed by Deutsche Sporthochschule in Köln (Germany) and carried out in various countries of Europe has shown that, even if the level of life is very poor and there is a lack of access tomodern technical media, the percentage of obesity in this kind of population is almost equal to the mean value of the whole of Europe – about 6-7 per cent (International Research Seminar, 2007). It is now commonly known that to diminish the percentage of obesity it is most important to achieve a high economic level of the population or country to increase in a direct way access to education in the field of healthful life, health promotion and health care. Thus, an aspiration after getting to know metabolic causes of obesity and effects of some elements of life conditions such as the amount of physical activity, an applied diet or nutrition limitations is very important in widening a range of knowledge possible to transmit healthful education. The role of tourist and recreational elements in this process is not possible to overstate. Throughout a three-week health programme (HP) in the case of obese children these natural and enjoyable elements can make a necessary high amount of physical activity more attractive and less depressive as a result of physiological stress (energy expenditure) during exercises.
