ABSTRACT
Corruption remains a serious problem across the world. In the last decade international organizations such as the World Bank, the IMF and others have made corruption control a significant focus of their agenda. A noteworthy development in this regard was the adoption of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption in December 2003, where countries agreed to an increased level of cooperation in the fight against corruption.1
