ABSTRACT
Relationships between the environment and energy crops are varied and complex. It is generally considered that biomass crops have more beneficial than harmful effects on the environment. However, this is not always the case, and specific guidelines have to be respected in order to achieve this balance (Gosse, 1995; Mitchell, 1995).
