ABSTRACT

Efforts to avoid dangerous climate change will require a profound transition in the way the world goes about its business. Such a transition will require deep changes in how energy and materials are produced and consumed, in how agricultural is practised, and in how lands are managed. It will require a large-scale deployment of climate-friendly technologies, the ability to finance technology development and investments of hundreds of billions of dollars annually, and a policy framework that can deliver this finance and technology to developing countries.
