ABSTRACT

In many neighbourhoods, short-term home–school projects are established to provide the solution to a long-term problem, breaking down the barriers between home and school to ensure that parents, young people and teachers can work effectively together. In most cases the projects are working in areas of deprivation, addressing issues which have previously been unchallenged but where in fact there is most potential for change.
