Home–school liaison: the mainstreaming of good ideas and effective practice

This chapter sets out to explore a home–school issue of growing concern. Improving the quality and effectiveness of its work is now seen as a key task for all schools and all teachers. This task is complemented by the continuing contribution of those with a special responsibility for home–school work, usually through a variety of funded programmes and initiatives.
