ABSTRACT

This chapter presents the goals and principles of a learning and teaching approach designed to improve student learning and success. The approach is underpinned by various educational theories and concepts, but has developed experientially in a number of different contexts as a result of critical reflective and reflexive practice. The approach has been evaluated by the authors and two external researchers, using inventories and a variant of the Delphi technique, in terms of student perceptions and the quality of the learning outcomes achieved.
