ABSTRACT
Recent analyses of cross-continental food systems have emphasized processes of re-regulation, in which trade flows are increasingly circumscribed by an array of regulatory issues and documentary requirements for traceability.1
These processes have also been apparent with regard to genetically modified (GM) crops, but as this chapter illustrates, issues relating to traceability have taken a complicated and contested path.
