ABSTRACT

In coping with globalization of markets, companies are establishing foreign operations and completing record numbers of cross-border mergers and acquisitions. However, globalization involves much more than geographical reach, whether that reach is expressed as operations in many countries or simply connecting through the Internet with computers in other countries. As the global economy continues to develop, managers must learn how to function as effectively in other countries as they do in their own country, and to bridge and integrate across the world by making use of both similarities and differences. Managers need to develop a global mindset.
