If gay space exists what does it look like? Shops and houses marked with distinctive emblems? Banners bearing provocative slogans? Marches? Demos? Clubs and bars with particular clienteles? Flags? Bodies declaring their allegiances via dress codes and styles of personal adornment? Resistance? Pride? A statement of identity in the face of public hostility?
