ABSTRACT
Beginning at the start of the twentieth century, Iranian cinema is one of the oldest and most prolific in the Middle East and the Third World. Because of its long and tumultuous history, this analysis is divided into three main historical periods, each with its own industrial, socio-political and textual practices.
