ABSTRACT
The emergence of cinema in Libya resembles to a large extent the beginnings of cinema in the other Arab countries, starting a few years after the appearance of cinema in the world as a whole. By the beginning of the twentieth century, before the rise of local production, Libyan cinema emerged in the form of silent imported movies. In general, the historical development of cinema in Libya had started by 1910.
