ABSTRACT
Settling a child into a new environment should be a happy experience and to enable this we allow a period of two weeks as minimum, reviewed each week. The maximum is until the child is settled and happy to be left by parent or carer. Parents/carers are encouraged to participate within the group room and its activities, and to support the child in transition to nursery. During this settling in period the parent/carer is always expected to be available within the building.
