ABSTRACT
A number of issues were raised in Part I of this book about social interaction in inclusive classrooms. These included:
• the social interaction of disabled and non-disabled students in an inclusive environment; • the factors which influence the attitudes of non-disabled students to their disabled peers,
and vice versa; • the influence of integration on the development of disabled students’ social skills and self-
esteem; • the organisation of classrooms and schools and its effects in promoting social inclusion.
