ABSTRACT
College, was probably written in 1579-the date given in a MS in the Cambridge University Library. That it was quite well known is proved by its survival in at least nine MSS. Legge's aim, assisted by Grafton, Hall or Holinshed, was to write a Senecan drama in which Nemesis brought the downfall of a tyrant. The play was divided into three 'Actiones', each Actio containing five Acts and intended to be presented on a different evening. The Unities are not kept; there are many characters and a broad sweep of events.
