ABSTRACT

INTRODUCTION THE PLAY was entered in the Stationers' Register to Edward Blount on 20 May, 1608, along with Pericles, but whereas Pericles was printed in 1609 by William White for Henry Gosson, Antony and Cleopatra was not printed before the I"irst Folio of 1623, when it was registered by Blount and Isaak Jaggard with fifteen other plays (including Ti1llOn and Coriolanus) 'not formerly entred to other men'. The previous registration was either forgotten or ignored.
