WALLS WITHIN WALLS – SOCIETY, FAMILY AND THE INDIVIDUAL

In this play we move from nineteenth-century Norway to twentieth-century India to explore a different aspect of the relationship between family and society. Although there is a death at the end here too, there is hope and and a restatement of living. In writing about A Shaft of Sunlight I concentrate on the theme of division.
