ABSTRACT
In this chapter an outline will be given on the process of the socialization of young people in the work domain: the learning process by which young people acquire the skills, attitudes and values, and behaviour that are needed in order to be able to function as a valuable employee or as a fully integrated member of a working organization. Socialization is also found in other areas of life. Therefore, a distinction can be made between general and more specific definitions of socialization.
