ABSTRACT

A review of the current position of your museum, gallery or leisure centre has been made, the objectives have been set and now all you have to do is put it all into operation. Unfortunately, the effort of ‘doing’ becomes an end in itself rather than actually ‘achieving’. The purpose becomes lost in the activity. The need for inventiveness and inspiration lessens and there becomes a greater need for the setting up of efficient routines and administration. It is now that muddle sets in, corners are cut and changes can occur in midstream.
