ABSTRACT
Sexual offenses historically have been, and continue to be, a problem facing our society. At the present time, the majority of clinical and research information relevant to sexual offending centers around the adult perpetrator, grossly neglecting the adolescent offender. The reasons for this are broad, ranging from the idea that all juvenile sexual behavior is “exploratory” in nature, to not wanting to label the adolescent as being sexually deviant.
