ABSTRACT
Leadership in the ethnic minority communities is as important to study as the areas of kinship, employment, and housing (Anwar 1979). Ethnicity has social significance in structuring wider authority relationships between various groups in Britain. Through their ethnic organisations, the leaders might find ways of promoting the participation of their communities in the institutions of British society, including political participation. But what type of ethnic minority leaders exist in Britain?
