ABSTRACT
This chapter1 has three main sections. The first section discusses feminism in general, and some problems associated with the way in which it is currently perceived. In the second section I deal more directly with Levinas; I attempt to present what Levinas says about the feminine. The third section tries to answer some of the questions which will have been raised about Levinas’s notion of the feminine and its relation to feminism.
