ABSTRACT
The genocide in Australia is marked by a lack of recognition by the state. Consequently, claims of genocide have rarely been heard in law in Australia. This lack of recognition has meant that Aboriginal peoples have been forced to attempt to wrest recognition, and justice, from the state. The fact of genocide has been something that has been particularly insisted on by the Aboriginal Embassy. 2
