ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we will explore the diagnostic changes, theoretical conceptualizations, and treatment options for some of the neurodevelopmental and conduct disorders, as they have been modified and presented in the DSM-5 (American Psychiatric Association, 2013). This will be accomplished with a review and exploration of the current related literature written from a modern Adlerian perspective. Because of space constraints, and gaps in the extant literature, not every condition or disorder within these DSM-5 groupings is included here. However, a number of major disorders from these sections of the DSM-5 have been included.
