Its elegant interface, ease of use, and access to the App Store quickly gave it the edge in the tablet market. In addition to the thousands of apps already available through its compatibility with the iPhone, new iPad-specifi c music apps began to quickly appear. These apps took advantage of the iPad’s multi-touch interface and followed the trend of visually elegant designs made popular on the iPhone and iPod Touch.
