ABSTRACT
Anderson’s Imagined Communities (1983) disseminated the idea that different nationalities were built as cultural artifacts sharing in common the capacity to command profound emotional feelings among nation’s citizens. Just how were they built and in what ways they have changed their meanings have become important issues.
