ABSTRACT

In spring 2010 I was asked to design a simulation game on acculturation. The client was looking for a study-aid for upper-secondary school pupils to enhance their comprehension of inter-cultural integration. The game was intended to be used in regular classroom settings without extensive use of computers or other types of information and communications technology (ICT). In this chapter you will be introduced to the product we ended up with, understand some major steps in the design and discover how we facilitate the game. As the material part of the game is simple, you will be able to prepare a set yourself and test it within your own teaching context.
