Many NLE systems incorporate a standard color correction tool called a three-way color corrector . Using this, a lmmaker has the capacity to control color ( hue and saturation) and luminance ( brightness ) in three areas of the image-blacks, mid-range, and whites ( Figure 37-1 ). The threeway color corrector is not a super cial accessory but a powerful image correction tool. Color correction itself is used to accomplish four goals.
