ABSTRACT
The NEEA was established in 1987. After merging in 1994 with the Offi ce of the SelfTaught Higher Education Examinations, which was established in 1983, it was referred to as the National Education Examinations Authority, but with an additional title-the Offi ce of the Self-Taught Higher Education Examinations. The NEEA is appointed by the MoE to exclusively oversee educational examinations and to exercise administrative authority.
