ABSTRACT
Collage is a form of recycling, a medium whereby images and their meanings are recycled and re-contextualized. The image “United We Consume” (the image on the cover of this book) is an example of this; it takes two found images and rearranges them to make a political statement. The end result is a critique on consumerism-a theme that runs central in much of my artwork and the courses I teach to college art students.
