ABSTRACT
While some groups exist only until an issue is resolved, others evolve into wellestablished social action organizations. One familiar organizational model is the pyramid structure with members at the local, state, and national levels who are linked by name and mission. The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) is one such highly recognized social action group based on this model.
