ABSTRACT

In this well deserved tribute to Theresa Enos it is fi tting to have a section on rhetoric’s infl uence on graduate programs. Through the graduate program at The University of Arizona, she has helped to shape the new generation of rhetoric and composition (R/C) scholars and teachers and has given them a respected venue for rhetorical scholarship-Rhetoric Review. Theresa’s own scholarship has also taken rhetoric into many sites, and her collegiality in the fi eld has contributed to the kind of tone that rhetoric and composition has striven to maintain. I am delighted to contribute to this volume for my friend, Theresa.
