Section IV Refl ection: Three Chances to Think Both/And

These three interesting essays sparked three trains of thought in my mind. In all three cases I’m thinking both/and-and fi ghting the tradition of either/or. (By the way, in referring to the three authors, I’ll use their fi rst names-especially because Theresa and Richard are both Enos.)

I fi nd myself looking at the rhetoric of these three essays through the lens of my interest in the believing and doubting games.
