ABSTRACT
Section 32 of the Charter provides for its application to the Parliament and government of Canada, as well as to the legislature and government of each province. The purpose of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms is to protect and safeguard the rights and freedoms enumerated, and to contain governmental action within reasonable limits.
