Facts 1 and 2 would enable you to apply for a divorce without a period of separation, so long as you have been married for at least one year. The tabloid newspapers sometimes refer to such divorces as ‘quickie divorces’ because wronged spouses can file a petition immediately, without a compulsory separation period. In practice, they are not very quick – three to four months is about the quickest you can expect – but they are at least quicker than two years’ separation.
