Let’s start with this one because it is the least straightforward petition to fill in. You are caught between a rock and a hard place. On the one hand, you need to convince a judge that your spouse’s behaviour is such that ‘the Petitioner cannot reasonably be expected to live with the Respondent’. On the other hand, you must avoid bruising your spouse’s feelings so badly that they refuse to co-operate.
