ABSTRACT

Member States are required by Art 10 to fulfil their obligations as members of the EC. They are specifically required to take all appropriate measures, whether general or particular, to ensure fulfilment of the obligations arising out of the EC Treaty, or resulting from action take by the institutions. Such action embraces both EC policy, secondary legislation and decisions of the ECJ and CFI. In addition, Member States must not take any measures which could jeopardise the attainment of the Treaty objectives.
