ABSTRACT
IP licences take many forms. For example, a franchise agreement will include, as part of its terms, a licence to the franchisee to use the franchisor’s trade marks and know-how in the course of carrying on the franchised business. Similarly, a sub-contract manufacturing agreement will include, as part of its terms, a licence to the sub-contractor to use the contracting party’s IP for the purposes of manufacturing the products.
